SESUG is offering a limited number of Academic and Professional Grants for qualified applicants to learn more about SAS by attending the SESUG 2023 conference October 22-24 in Charlotte, NC.
NOTE: Priority will be given to applicants who currently reside, work or attend an accredited degree-granting institution or high school within the SouthEast region. Applicants from the NorthEast region will being given second priority.
Academic and Professional Grant Details
College and University Students
Eligibility
- Full time students in accredited degree-granting program.
- Use SAS software for research or studies as part of their current academic program.
- Be able to attend the entire conference.
- Submit description of SAS use and be willing to give short presentation as part of Student Showcase.
- No prior SESUG award.
Levels of Support if Awarded
- Reduced registration rate of $50.
- Room rate of $50 per night for 2 nights for non-local grant recipients.
- Up to $400 travel stipend based on receipts.
- One complimentary 4-hour pre-conference tutorial.
Community College, College, and University Faculty
Eligibility
- Full time at accredited degree-granting institution including community and technical colleges.
- Teach with SAS or use SAS in research at their primary institution.
- Be able to attend the entire conference.
- Submit an abstract for presentation.
- No prior SESUG award in this category.
Levels of Support if Awarded
- Reduced registration rate of $50.
- Room rate of $100 per night for 2 nights for non-local grant recipients.
- Up to $400 travel stipend based on receipts.
- One complimentary 4-hour pre-conference tutorial.
High School Teachers
Eligibility
- Teach with SAS, use SAS for research or participate in SAS high school teacher's program as a full-time teacher at an accredited high school.
- Be able to attend the entire conference.
- Submit an abstract for presentation.
- No prior SESUG award in this category.
Levels of Support if Awarded
- Reduced registration rate of $50.
- Room rate of $100 per night for 2 nights for non-local grant recipients.
- Up to $400 travel stipend based on receipts.
- One complimentary 4-hour pre-conference tutorial.
Professionals
Eligibility
- Use SAS software as part of full-time employment.
- SAS software user (other than student use) less than 36 months through October 2023.
- Be able to attend the entire conference.
- Submit an abstract for presentation.
- No prior SESUG award in this category.
Levels of Support if Awarded
- Reduced registration rate of $50.
- Room rate of $100 per night for 2 nights for non-local grant recipients.
- Up to $400 travel stipend based on receipts.
- One complimentary 4-hour pre-conference tutorial.
