John C. Gober
Bureau of the Census, Demographic Surveys Methodology Division
Abstract: Whether you are just starting out programming in SAS, or are an experienced programmer, it is always nice to have a little storage area of useful tips, tricks, and ideas residing somewhere on your computer. For the inexperienced, it is a place to find usef ul information ideas and concepts which are still foreign. For the experience programmer it is an area to quickly grab existing routines for his eleventh hour effort. But why stop at a series of files residing in a directory. This paper will use three simp le examples (approximately 60 lines of code) already in the Census' DSMD SAS toolbox area to capture and format files in a toolbox directory and place them in HTML format in order to create a web presence. One which will allow a user to view on the Web not only the toolbox programs but also view a table of contents. This paper is for all experience levels.
