This year SESUG is offering three different ways to support the local Durham community!  We hope you will find a choice that interests you.

1. School supply donation to benefit the Durham Nativity School
2. Time donation (Monday night of conference) to help stuff back packs with school supplies for the Durham Nativity School
3. Monetary donation to support the Donor’s Choose classroom project

School Supply Donation

The school we are supporting this year is the Durham Nativity School.  It is a tuition free school that is dependent upon private donation.  For more information on this unique school, visit their website at: http://www.durhamnativity.org/

We will be stuffing backpacks with school supplies during the conference.  If you are interested in purchasing school supplies for this project, please refer to the list of requested supplies on the school’s website: http://www.durhamnativity.org/for-students/supplies-list/.  Donated supplies can be brought to the conference and given directly to the assembly line at the Monday night mixer or dropped off at Registration in advance.

Time Donation

Indicate on your SESUG registration form that you’d like to volunteer with the charity when asked about volunteering at the conference.  During the Monday night mixer, there will be an organized assembly line stuffing backpacks with school supplies for the children.  Alternatively, just lend a hand if you see the activity in progress!

Monetary Donation Information

If you prefer to make monetary donations, the Donor’s Choose project we would like to support this year is for a classroom that needs a laptop computer.  The school is Pearsontown Elementary School in Durham, NC.

You may choose to donate online before the conference.  Alternatively, we will be collecting cash at the conference to donate towards this project.
